What would be the new norms in filming and fashion industry? I’ve been missing work. I miss the sets, I miss shooting, and I miss acting, in particular, gotta wait for a couple of months for the projects on hold to rev up the engines again. Footage here was the first and never in my wildest dream the last shoot I did with @harpersbazaarmy and @moogscd . I don’t, till date, do more of my own videos, not that I couldn’t, more like it doesn’t move me as much. I sometimes ask myself what does it mean to be an actress — the very first question I was asked by @moogscd during the interview too. I always manage to come up with fancy answers. But honestly, hell do I know. I remember sharing this to him, it’s actor, not actress. You don’t see doctoress, or lawyeress. Those are just choices of words which most of the time I don’t care. Perhaps the answer lays there. I’m not a hardcore feminist, but I have always demanded respect and fairness. We are the ones who give reasons or excuses to our actions, whichever way you wanna view it, as long as those reasons are valid enough to fuel us. While most industries are feeling the economic pressure, I don’t wonder why I am feeling not at ease but at peace with it. I shrugged. Guess what, your struggles, are what probably most people in the showbiz industry live with EVERY SINGLE DAY, before we cut it. Even after we cut it, we fear of losing it, so we diversify, busy diving into sectors we probably don’t like that much, because that is how the game of survival of the fittest works. No dramas no whining, but do something, and don’t expect people to understand. It’s a lonely career that would never work without support. Ain’t that sound fun. While supporting the revival of local businesses to steer through this wave of challenge, has anybody thought about local showbiz industry? Or it always has to be secondary, but forever looking shiny and glamorous. Again, just some very neutral #jjgrandom , surface barely scratched.
